Data Stored on Your Device

ChimpKeys stores your typing data locally in your browser — it never leaves your device and we have no server that receives it. The following localStorage keys are used:

• chimpkeys-history — your last 50 typing test results (WPM, accuracy, duration).
• chimpkeys-settings — your theme preference and selected test duration.
• chimpkeys-visit-count — a simple counter used to avoid showing ads to first-time visitors.
• chimpkeys-ad-consent — whether you've agreed to see advertisements.

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing your browser data, or clear your test history from the history page.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

ChimpKeys is a free tool supported by Google AdSense advertisements. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Your Choices Regarding Ads

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

What We Don't Collect

• No account or sign-up is required — we hold no personal profiles.
• The text you type in a test is processed entirely in your browser.
• Fonts are self-hosted; no font requests are sent to third parties.
• We do not sell personal data to third parties.
